John Clute

John Clute was born in Toronto in 1940 but he has lived in England since the 1960’s. He has been involved in science fiction and fantasy for several decades as an expert, a critic and a writer. Clute has written several novels and poems and his articles and reviews have appeared in numerous publications.

Clute is probably best known as the co-editor of The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction and The Encyclopedia of Fantasy. He has won several awards and prizes for his work, including 3 Hugo Awards and a World Fantasy Award.
